George and Sons Manufacturing, a family owned and operated company, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Operator for 1st Shift.
The CNC Machinist/Operator will set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, boring mills and CNC equipment to machine metallic and non-metallic parts according to drawings.
Responsibilities and Duties Performs all assigned machine shop operations.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results.
Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
Qualifications and Skills Communication Proficiency Mathematical Skills:
add, subtract, multiply, divide, algebra, metric/imperial, decimal and fractional Overhead crane use experience to lift, move and locate parts/fixtures safely and efficiently Mechanical Capacity Technical Capacity Time Management Physical Requirements Meet D.

George & Sons medical, drug and alcohol qualifications Must be able to walk and stand throughout an 8 hour shift Must be able to lift material weighing up to 50 pounds from a floor or table position to chest high using proper lifting techniques Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers in the manipulation of parts, while demonstrating good hand/eye coordination Demonstrate good manual dexterity Required Education and Experience High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
Minimum 3 years of related experience.
